Client Brief

Who is the client?
A tele-health provider in the US with a turnover of approximately $2million annually providing US has experienced unexpected growth, with the trajectory continuing over the next 2 years.

What do they do?
The organisation provides value-based care in the US, providing triage, care co-ordination, and a holistic approach to longer-term conditions.

What are their concerns?
The telehealth provider is concerned the operations are not robust enough to withstand further growth.
The company does not conduct many reports, or gather much on performance and so is not able to predict what is needed if they continue to grow.
They do not currently employ anyone with enough insight to grow the business over the next 5 years and would like to build a clear strategy.

Action Taken

Nabila worked with the company over a 3 month period to help support their growth and stabilise their foundations. This included:
  • Providing a 5 year business plan to help provide the organisation with the framework on which to grow.
  • Supporting the organisation to manage their data and build a set of reports to help monitor key measures of the business that can be tracked and interpreted over time.
  • Provided support with how to engage with key stakeholders external to the organisation to help improve credibility and commercial growth.
  • Supported the organisation to understand how better to use non-medical colleagues.

Result

The organisation has since been able to:

  • Hire key roles proactively using the framework, strategy, and data as a guide.

  • Able to learn from some of the issues Nabila experienced in her previous role as a result of rapid scaling which prevented losses.

  • Made significant changes to their clinical operations to enable growth.

  • Proactively build relations with external stakeholders opening opportunities for commercial partnerships.

  • Use Hedis measures to help demonstrate the impact on improved health outcomes of the patients they are treating.

  • Build the team of non-medics helping to reduce overall running costs.
