Client Challenge
Primary Care

Client Brief

Who is the client?
A private organisation that employs pharmacists to be deployed into primary care.

What do they do?
They deploy pharmacists into GP practices virtually to support with medicines optimisation, repeat prescribing, discharge summaries and some QOF work.

What are their concerns?
They are facing more and more competition in this sector and would like to understand more about their unique selling point and how to market this. They would also like to automate as much work as possible and explore other revenue opportunities. They would also like to understand better how to get 'buy-in' from GP practices to allow them to carry out more clinical tasks.

Nabila facilitated a leadership workshop to help the key decision makers better understand their mission, values and other key messages and strategy.
Nabila facilitated a session for the Pharmacists to help them to understand the value they bring to general practice and where their untapped potential is.

Result

Leadership

The organisation now has a clear structure in the form of mission, values and strategy. Nabila spent some time coaching the leaders to help support the embedding of these into the organisation.

Marketing

The GAP analysis supported the organisation to create an action plan. This in conjunction with the leadership work supported the organisation to ensure they were clear on key marketing messages and the target audience.

Demonstrating outcomes

Nabila supported the organisation to change their perspective when it came to collecting data and conducting audits. Nabila was able to set the team up with a set of audits and a quality improvement project to support them to demonstrate the impact the team is having on improving health outcomes. The ambition being to write abstracts and papers to help build credibility.

Understanding and promoting value and expertise

Nabila provided Pharmacists in the organisation with training to help them to better understand the value they were providing GP practices. This enabled them to be more confident to share expertise with external stakeholders such as GP practices.

Nabila also provided the organisation with a strategy and action plan to help expand the Pharmacists' remit within GP practices.
